From James Dashner, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling Maze Runner series, comes the first book in the bestselling Mortality Doctrine series, an edge-of-your-seat cyber-adventure trilogy that includes The Rule of Thoughts and The Game of Lives

Includes a sneak peek of The Fever Code, the highly anticipated conclusion to the Maze Runner series—the novel that finally reveals how the Maze was built!

The VirtNet offers total mind and body immersion, and the more hacking skills you have, the more fun it is. Why bother following the rules when it’s so easy to break them? But some rules were made for a reason. Some technology is too dangerous to fool with. And one gamer has been doing exactly that, with murderous results.
The government knows that to catch a hacker, you need a hacker. And they’ve been watching Michael. If he accepts their challenge, Michael will need to go off the VirtNet grid, to the back alleys and corners of the system human eyes have never seen—and it’s possible that the line between game and reality will be blurred forever.

@candygirl Plz no And i've read the entire series and i was addicted at chapter one. it has that robotic-techy feel but it also has a fantasy feel as well. I suggest everyone read it and give james dashner a bit round of applause. ***** 5 stars

the first chapter is about a guy trying to stop another girl trying to get a suicide bonus called taya or something (i forgot)

James Dashner is a great author and I love all his books. This book has great action and an awesome plot line. I definitely recommend this book to everyone.

It Such A good Book If You Can Handle The Challenge Of Revenge Threatning And Vadilisuim Inside of a video game called virtnet and it might even be your worst nightmnare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Today we will be taking a look at a good book. The Eye Of Minds is written by James Dashner, who wrote The Maze Runner. The book takes place in a VR world (Virtual Reality) in the near future. The protagonists are Michael, Sarah, and Bryson. The Antagonist is Kaine or the major villain in the book. One major conflict in the book is when Michael gets kidnapped he tried running away but eventually got caught. When the people got him they didn't treat him kindly and just tossed him in a van. Another major conflict is when Michael had to talk a girl out of suicide but let's just say things didn't go so well…. A turning point when Michael tried to solve his problem by trying to find Kaine. I absolutely loved this book because there was the right mix of gore, action, and mystery.

a terrific book. very exciting and thrilling. it kept me turning pages. I couldn't stop. I recommend this book for everyone

I rated it 3/5 because some of the events that happened in this book were a bit unclear and went through too fast, like where Michael was and the setting. MIchael is the main character in the story and he played a game called Lifeblood with his friends which simulates the real world, but in the story, I am still unclear about where MIchael is when he isn't in the game since it doesn't talk about that very much. I think he is a very mysterious character and the author didn't really talk a lot about his family. I didn't like the book as much as the Maze Runner series because this book was kind of boring for me but I hoped the next book will be more exciting.

If You read the rest of the books it expands on this much more. That's all I'm saying. I am NOT GOING TO SPOIL ANYTHING.
