I really liked the way that this book was made because Patricia and Richard had a disagreement, but one night Patricia's bubbie sat beside her and they both saw a shooting star, so her bubbie showed Patricia how to make a wish when you see a wishing star, then Patricia knew how to get her brother back.Patricia stayed up and looked through the window until she saw a wishing star she did the same thing that her bubbie did.She wished that she could do anything better than her rotten redheaded older brother and she did, she went on a carousel like 30 times and fell down because she was so dizzy and she woke up with her grandpa, grandma, and her mother all sitting beside her and her mother said that she had a fright and that her brother carried her all the way home and her brother said "that's what big brothers are for". I liked this book because Patricia and Richard were no longer fighting at the end of the book.
I really liked the outcome of this book. It had a great theme, and taught me a new lesson. The Main Character , Trisha, has a brother named Richie. Her Brother can virtually do everything better than she can. But one day, her grandmother, Bubbie, taught her how to make a wish, the unthinkable happened. I thought this book had a great lesson, and it caused me to think of my brother differently. Instead of always beating him in races and bragging that I'm the best, I let him win more races and treat him with my respect.
