The book is better than the movie.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.
All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley -- a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry's room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn't had a birthday party in eleven years.
But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry -- and anyone who reads about him -- will find unforgettable.

This book has beautiful pictures. It's the first book of Harry Potter just with illustrations.
this book is awesome
This book was really great!! Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all wizards-three different types, to be exact. Harry is a half-blood-half wizard born, half muggle born. Ron is pure-blood-all wizard. Hermione is a muggle born-no wizard blood in the family tree whatsoever. All three were sorted into Gryffindor...and all three try to uncover the mysteries of Hogwarts. Why is Quirrell so shy and stuttery? Why does the gamekeeper have a dragon, and who is the mysterious man who gave it to him? Why are the unicorns dropping like flies? And what is the three-headed dog protecting? This book was funny, scary and best of all-wonderful! Anyone who liked Percy Jackson would love Harry Potter. Five stars!
It was totally amazing, like I got sucked into the world of magic, practised spells with Hermione, got along with Ron, Fred and George!!! It was much better than the legendary world of Camelot. I truly enjoyed it. At fist, I didn't like it, but it got more and more interesting!!! Great job, J.K. Rowling!!! I am truly in awe!!!
awsome
It's really good and you should read it
