In Caitlin’s world, everything is black or white. Things are good or bad. Anything in between is confusing. That’s the stuff Caitlin’s older brother, Devon, has always explained. But now Devon’s dead and Dad is no help at all. Caitlin wants to get over it, but as an eleven-year-old girl with Asperger’s, she doesn’t know how. When she reads the definition of closure, she realizes that is what she needs. In her search for it, Caitlin discovers that not everything is black and white—the world is full of colors—messy and beautiful.

Kathryn Erskine has written a must-read gem, one of the most moving novels of the year.

Caitlins world was good. Almost perfect actually., when her brother was alive. when Caitlins world goes from normal, to tragic, she gets confused. Scared. She needs help. She doesn't understand why everything has so suddenly changed. Then she finds out about closure. That's what everyone needs right?

Do you think this is a good book for someone that has had a loss? Why or why not? Does this help people gain some empathy or more sympathy for someone that has had a tragic loss?

i don't like this, even for all boys i would say

**Possible Spoiler Alert** This honestly the best book I have ever read!! I could ramble on for hours and hours about this book. But to sum it up its a tear-throbbing novel with a happy end that shouldn't of been. When you see the world through the eyes of Caitlin, you immediately become intrigued and it becomes impossible to put the book down. It really explains the true meaning of closure and how it can be precised. Sometimes we think we really know it all but do you really? Spend some time in the shoes of a special needs girl going through a hard time. Which she doesn't really understand. Everyone else may think they are helping but they are only looking through one perspective. I just love how the show that an art teacher can really bring out the passion in one girls life and help her find closure to only realize everyone else needed the one thing they were trying to give Caitlin. "Closure!"

This book is really good! I love how it is from Caitlin's point of view! In most books you don't normally read from a person with Asperger’s point of view. it really starts to make your perspective of people with things like that. I admire Caitlin's determination to find closure. She looks at the world very simply.

This is one of the best books of all time! It is about a girl that suffers from and families death and it determined to find closure. Now closure is not easy to find it takes time and effort. When she finally find what she thinks will bring closure she is satisfied that her and her father will finally be happy again!

It helps you to understand that it is ok to have somebody to die that you care about, but you can't crawl under a rock and hide. Someone else might feel bad because that person died, you can go find closure with that person

The main character is 10 not 11. That's all I can think of to say. What I thought of it: I liked Michael. He was pretty cool. I liked Catlin's dad too, but he could be a little impatient with her. Catlin was funny at times. I didn't like how the author capitalized things that aren't purposed to be capitalized like Get It, and Deal With It. The whole Look At The Person thing confused and annoyed me at times, but I guess that's just how she thought of things. There were no quotation marks in the entire book. All the quotes were in italics. That REALLY annoyed me, but I guess I understand why the author did that. Catlin seemed a bit bratty at times, but that was ok. I know I'm supposed to love this book because it's about a girl with Asperger’s, but I just couldn't really get into it. Overall it was ok, but I don't understand why everyone thinks it's so amazing

this book sounds good so i want to read it because it sound cool and nice for someone to read
