This book was an amazing start to another part of a series of a new series bridging from the past of Percy Jackson and his friends. Now, new characters such as Piper, Leo, and Jason are introduced and show the different elements and qualities of the heroes in the series. This book was especially impressive to me because of the fact that there were so many characters and with very complex pasts that make them who they are, and how they all contribute to the story in some way. This book also illustrates what teamwork, loyalty, heroism, and bravery is like. It also shows the strengths of these characters. At the end of the book, it leaves the reader wanting to know more about these characters and what they will go through again > < :)

Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn't recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?
Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What's troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper's gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all-including Leo-related to a god.
Rick Riordan, the best-selling author of the Percy Jackson series, pumps up the action and suspense in The Lost Hero, the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series. Fans of demi-gods, prophesies, and quests will be left breathless--and panting in anticipation for Book Two. The accessible and dramatic cover art by graphic novelist Nilah Magruder will attract a new generation of readers.

I HAVE IT #bestbookeverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Wow I want this book so bad I love it!!
I read the WHOLE series and ALL the books are great! If you agree follow me!
Ok, so first of all, this is like one of the best books I have ever read, (Notice how I said ONE of the best books, because I still LOVE Percy Jackson!). For me it's usually very rare that I find and author that has a series and I like the series. Sorry if that sentence didn't make sense. But anyway, it's totally different with Rick Riordan and his series. The reason I say it's totally different is because with Rick, I literally like all of his books. (BTW, I still have a couple series to read by him.) I mean, like, Percy Jackson, I loved the whole five books, (and now I'm begging my mom over and over to get me the whole first series.), and then when I started reading "The Heroes Of Olympus", I'm totally addicted again! BTW again, I have the first and second book, but the second is at my dads so I have to wait to read the second one. Also this is the third or fourth time that I'm reading "The Lost Hero". Anyway, "The Heroes Of Olympus" is such a great series...even though I only read the first book, I JUST KNOW IT'S A GREAT SERIES!!!! Also, great job Rick Riordan for writing all these books. I mean, dude, literally every book you write is great to me. Oh and one more thing Rick, don't listen to all those chumps who say your books are horrible or garbage or something else mean, just ignore them and keep going. Or should I say writing?
