Someday Angeline is a children's novel by Louis Sachar. A story about a girl named Angeline Persopolis who faces trouble at school because of her intelligence, it was originally released in 1983, but received a reprint in 2005 following Sachar's success with Holes. Angeline is an eight-year old genius who is having trouble fitting in at school and her father can’t understand why his too smart child is so fascinated by his job as a garbage collector and can’t find a way to talk to her. All these changes when Angeline makes a new friend at school (a boy) and makes a connection with a teacher, who in turn forms a special friendship with her dad. This is a sweet novel about learning to like yourself, even when you aren’t exactly the same as everybody else. For ages 8 up.
